Tv freezes

You need to boost your signal somehow, get a better antenna. nothing is wrong with the TV, this is a typical Dropout when signal is low.

LG HDTV LED

Sounds like you might have a defective unit, or the source that is connected to your tv (cable box, dvd etc) is going out. A lot of times if you have a cable box, glitches, loss of sound and/or color are because of the quality of the input source. Try changing the channel. If the problem is the same on any channel - or on your dvd/xbox, then it is probably a defective tv. You may be able to get it exchanged through LG. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Channel scan only finds 1 channel with basic cable setup on LG 42LD520

if you have a cable box just plug the cable box into a scart socket on the tv, switch the tv to the scart input and use the cable remote to change channel?Scanning for channels wont find anything because you are receiving the channels on a cable box. If you are refering to standard or digital tv signals and your not receiving any channels then either you are only scanning analogue tv and therefore wont pick up any digital tv channels, or your ariel is inadequate to receive an acceptable digital reception and will need to be upgraded. please state country you are in and what you are expecting to receive

No sound on some hd channels

If you are only no sound on only some of he digital channels, and the analogue channels are getting sound, and your AV inputs are working you need to check your antenna reception. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Unable to receive local channels

According to the manual for the 42LC2D it should be able to receive local channels through a normal analogue antenna connected to the anntenna/cable coax input connector. You can get the manual here http://us.lge.com/download/product/file/1000001586/60PC1D-UE.pdf
