I am trying to register a new garmin 765t but after several tries, using my name, my wifes name, and several different user names and passwords, I am getting no results. Can you please help? [email protected]

When the machine is printing a
document stored using the copier
function, wait until printing has
finished before you store a document
in the Document Server.
A Press the {Document Server} key.
B Press [Scan Original].
C Enter a file name, user name, or
password if necessary.

- If you do not enter a file name,
one is automatically assigned.

Finished] after all the originals
have been scanned

To register or change the user name
A Press [Scan Original].
The Scan Original display appears.
B Press [User Name].
If user names are already registered,
the Change User Name display
appears. To use an
unregistered user name, press
[Non-programmed Name].
When no user name are registered
in the Address Book, the User
(Destination) Name entry display
appears.
When using a registered user
name in the Address Book
ASelect a registered user name
from the list, and then press
[OK].
To change your user name to an
unregistered user name, proceed
to the next step.

Hello there,
Registering the new garmin nuvi 1450 is quite simple. What you need to do is to connect the garmin nuvi 1450 to a computer that has internet on it. Then you go to www.garmin.com then you select the support link, https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/register.htm then a list will pop up, select product registration, it will prompt you to create a user name and password, then it will ask for some information about the garmin you are trying to register.Then it willbe registered.

You need to go to Garmins website www.garmin.com at the top right hand corner of the web page go to My Garmin and set up a new account with a user name and password. Then you can register your unit.

I hope this helps you out.

I'm only guessing, but this may be worth a try.
Go to the Garmin website, www.garmin.com, click on the tab "myGarmin".
Log in (which you would have done when you registered your new GPS when you bought it).
Then click on "View your registered products".

If your 660 is listed there, (its model number would appear in blue type, under the heading Product Name.....and the serial number would be listed to the right) the unit MUST be registered to you or you probably wouldn't even get this far on the website.

If your unit ISN'T listed there, you may see a drop-down window where you can select "Register Now".
(I say all this somewhat tentatively, because MY unit IS registered: it was initially registered by its previous owner who had to UNregister before I could go in an register it in MY name.)

Perhaps the store where you bought the unit registered it in YOUR name, but maybe they spelled it differently (like, Mike, instead of Michael). OR, maybe you never registered it when you made your purchase. If not, go ahead and do it now; it's easy!

BEFORE you try to log in to their website, you MUST create an account.

Under My Garmin sign in, there's a "Don't have an account? Create one"

Put your full name, email addy, a username, password (6 character minimum) and confirm password in the appropriate fields. THEN you'll be in business to register your product!

from there you can retrieve your password or user name at the sign in....

You need to download and install the Garmin WebUpdater and Garmin Communicator Plugin both available from Garmin's website onto your computer. This allows updates to be installed directly to the 765T and provides the necessay USB drivers as well. The 765T must be connected to your computer when performing all updates or upgrades.

You may need to create a MyGarmin account and register your Nuvi 765T.

Resetting the 765T: with the unit off, press your thumb or finger in the lower right corner of the screen while turning the 765T on. This will clear all user data, base map software will remain intact. Connect 765T to computer and proceed with the Garmin WebUpdater.

Check in the settings/setup options to enable all the POIs (Point of Interests) and then check if you can find the "city centers" If not then maybe the maps of this GPS device does not have this POI.

You have to choose a unique username when registrating. The myGarmin page is global, so alot of the regular names are already taken up, try adding a number or two, or try a totally different username.

You will need to pick a user name and password along with providing a valid email address. The next page will come up with a ton of different lists you can subscribe to for 'updates' on theri new products. I recommend clicking do not describe. Then it will ask you for your serial number and your done.
