Gfx card or overheating or power management or memory or what? problem

Try This :

First Shut down the computer completely
As soon as you turn on the computer keep on tapping F8(instantly) continously ....
It will bring up Advanced boot option
Hightlight "Last Known Good Configuration" and Hit enter
Check if it works ... If still it doesn't work
Do the same thing go to Advaced boot option(pressing F8)
Select "Safe mode with networking"
See if it works
If you reach the desktop screen purchase a USB flash drive and copy the entire data in it

Otherwise take out your hard drive take it to a near by store
They will back it up on a flash drive

no you got it my freind just take the gfx card out (when the power is off and its unpluged)
and you can try the onboard gfx but remeber depending on the game you might not get v/g gfx or might be basic and if its having to boot to safe mode you might with the hard shut down have destroyed windows itself but you can alwas reistall alsow check your anti virise sounds mad but one you go on to the chip set get avast and do a boot scan once its updated as its a great antivirise

YES I CAN HOW MUCH RAM IS IN IT WHAT TYPE OF GFX CARD IS IN WHATS THE CPU SPEED? if you have low memory then you will need more i recomend 2 gb of ram min for gaming and a good 512 mb gfx card hope this helps

check to see your direct x status by typung dxdiag in run and test if they all pass then I would check the card wattage rating and you max power supply load the card may be to much for your power supply

when you first power on do you see bios info on the screen? if not (since its a laptop) chances are onboard video card maybe bad.
if you do see it do you see windows start showing at all? in either case wether you see it or not try booting up in safe mode (start hitting F8 key right after bios goes away) and if it works. if you are able to see screen in safe mode chances are drivers are corrupt i would say go in device manage and uninstall display adapter and restart computer and let it boot normally and see it make any difference... if it works get new drivers from manufacturer and install.

Probably the video card. Check in Device manager to ensure the drivers are not corrupt. If they are there will be a yellow, red or black sign next to the video device. Right click, uninstall the driver then reboot. The plug and play will load the correct driver. If that does not work then replacing the video card is needed.

u have to reset or mobile ..to do that follow this

1. Removed your MMC card first.

2. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery before performing the

" Safe Mode, and follow-by phone reset *#7370# ". Or maybe you can have the

charger on and plugged into the phone to act as a full power source.

3. Press and hold the ABC key and then press the power button.
Remember not to release the ABC key till you seen the
"Safe Mode" standby screen.

(Fyi, there's no special indicator that telling yo're on a "Safe Mode"
standby screen.)

4. Once in the "Safe Mode" stanby screen press *#7370# to carry-out "Phone Reset"
task.

5. Once "Phone Reset" task completed and back to normal standby screen again,
switch off your phone and re-insert your MMC card.

If any error showing on the phone boot-up, please have the memory card formatted and by next phone
start-up you will not have the error msg again.

If you some important data or programs files on your MMC card, please use
a card reader to have them copied onto a pc before performing memory card
formatting

Check the fan on your video card if it has one. If it does have one and it's not working correctly then it will overheat very quickly.
This sort of issue can be caused by a million things but your description points to the card overheating or the memory on the video card dying.

I think maybe some how the main graphics for your pc has possibly switched to onboard. Try getting into bios F2 or DEl on boot up and highlight Advanced ChipsetFeatures and press Enter. In here make sure your AGP card is set as the Primary graphics controller. When done press ESC and 'Y' to save settings, then re-boot pc. Hope this gets you running again.
