We have had a terrible problem with dirty dishes after cycle since getting this dishwasher as a warranty replacement for a Maytag Jetclean (that worked WONDERFULLY but completely blanked out one day). I can't say I have a great answer for you, but our problem is apparently that there is not enough water for the cycle. This varies from time to time it seems like. We have good pressure in our home and good pressure going to the dishwasher, so the problem is possibly valves??? I don't know, we are waiting to see if this will fix the problem. We also have an element that glows and smells hot (could be due to low water also. These are the things I know--perhaps you could make sure you have good water pressure all the way up to the dishwasher to eliminate a water line problem.

First I would check to see if it is getting enough water. There is a screen in the water inlet valve that tends to pick up debris. Follow the links Dishwasher not cleaning starting with the video on the water inlet valve.
you need to check to see what the temps of you water going into the unit is. it needs to be atleast 120 degrees. if not your unit may be waiting to heat the water, until it does then it wont go into the next cycle. it could be the heat cycle is not working so that would cause the unit to not advance. let the unit run thru the place you think its stopping, but not more then 2 hours. if its not advancing then you might have a bad heating element.
Sounds like you have motor pump problem and may need to be replaced. The parts are covered for 2 years but you'll have to pay for the labor. Call a qualified LG technician for service on your dishwasher. You can find them on the LG website.
If the problem is that the dishwasher isn't filling with enough water, you should replace the water valve.
If it's getting enough water, but dishes have a white film on them or are still not getting clean, you may have hard water build up in your machine. Try to run a dishwasher cleaner thru it, or depending on how much buildup you have, you may need to take the dishwasher apart and clean it. I know JetDry puts a cleaner out, but I haven't personally tried it yet.
You can usually see white buildup inside the dishwasher if this is your problem.
run a cycle thru with no dishes and 2 cups of vingar this will flush out the unit then run a normal load should be ok let me know THERE also is a product called dishwasher magic you can run that thru as well but the vingar is cheaper
It is likely the drain into the side of the disposer has become clogged
. you have to disconnect the rubber hose and run a twisted wire up into
the hose and be certain the hole into the disposer is clear, seal the
hose back with some silicone as it is old and cracked likely or just
watch for any hose leaks .
after that the drain should **** all debris clear.
if not do it again but use a water hose to back flush the drain.
and a bit of bleach in all your washings to break up the mold inside the pipes and keep the dishes clean.
Is it hooked to a garbage disp. If so make sure the knock out is out. Then if you can use a volt meter. take off the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit on the left side is your drain pump. take off the 2 wires put your meter on ac and put your leads on the wires then run it in a cxl cycle. (the cxl will depend on your unit you will press two buttons @ the same time and hold it it will light up 2(2min)) if you get 110 you have a bad pump........
