Try to check the windows audio services in windows service, and make automatic, then try to check if not working then go to device manager and uninstall audio drivers and restart the computer and give some to to automatically install the driver then audi will work in case not working then refresh the driver from device manager and try to download and reinstall the windows audio driver then windows audio will work fine.

I have just upgraded to Vista and prior to that audio was working fine - now saying no audio output device is installed

hi this is normally due to vista drivers not finding your audio normally this happens with the generic AC95 type audio device, if you have the on board type you can normally use the drivers for windows 2000 but vista being vista you might be better off getting updated motherboard drivers for the web site of your motherboard manufacturer there normally is allot of updated stuff out there for vista....hope that helps

You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Use this link to download the drivers: -

Try to search for the XP Drivers for your Laptop or Return the OS to Windows Vista, some Toshiba Laptops does not have XP Drivers if downgraded from Vista to XP.

Audio device are not installed in vista

go to HP Support Drivers and fill in the model number or service tag and it will take you to the drivers page. Without the drivers installed the audio will not initialize.

its a known issue --if you u upgrade vista home to vista ultimate.just u need to uninstall the audio driver and install it again

Audio Problem On Board DG31PR running Windows Vista

Well, vista dosent nessesary instal the right drivers, u need to instal the drivers prom intel.
I asume that your vista is Vista 32, so here u go, download the right drivers, instal them and it will work

NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE IS INSTALLED

windows key + R = open : devmgmt.msc
Sounds, video and game controlers > (right click) Realtek high definition audio > update driver sofware > browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list...> double click on Realtek high definition audio > YES to update driver warning > AND SWEET SOUND IS AUDIBLE :D
