Front end vibrates like a tire is going to come off.
I have a 1996 audi A6 Quatro, at around 60mph somtimes when I turn to go around a curve or just to merge the steer tires vibrate or jumps...feels almost like a tire is going to come off.

This is a manual transmission? If so the clutch probably needs to be replaced. When you say "VIOLENTLY" what is going on, what is the road speed, what are the RPMs at? The more specific information the better. And this problem ONLY occurs between gear changes, right? The other times, everything is normal?
Tap around the edges of the tire with a rubber mallet. But be sure to have the car jacked up safely and watch yout feet while doing so. It is being held on by rust at this point. This should loosen it up.
I believe it is the lower front wishbone that is too dry in the joint. Ask someone to put a hand at the wishbone while turning the steering wheel back and forth. The person will immediately feel wether it is this or not, by small vibrations and nois from it.
Has the tyre been trmoved recently ?
It could just be that it has been refitted not using the Audi spike supplied to ensure that the rear disc and wheel are properly centered. Try loosening the bolts ands wriggling it to see if it reseats both propery.
