Hello,

If the default user and password were reset try this:
There is a reset button on the router (see Image)
nancie1186.jpg

Hold for 5 seconds, this will reset the router.

The default I believe is:
admin
admin

If that does not work. try username: (leave blank) and admin as password.

Verify that the software you are trying is COMPATIBLE with the operating system on the computer.

Try removing the software and re-installing it in SAFE mode before plugging in the USB or Ethernet cable.

I would like to reset my wireless router becaouse i forget my password and i dont now what i must to do now??

most of the routers have a reset button on its rear side or under it. try to find the reset button and press it continuosly for 5 sec until it resets. default ID would be ' admin '  Password would be  ' password ' .  these login details may be found under the router. if still couldnt do it let me know the model of the router so that i can assist u with the exact procedure.

I hooked my Belkin-G-Plus-Mimo-39000 to my laptop. Got it working, now I wanted to get it on my Desktop. its installed, but its asking for a NETWORK KEY. What to do from here.

The Network Key is the method for encrypting a transmission on a wireless network. If you originally setup your wireless router you should know this key. Otherwise, contact whomever setup your wireless router and ask what the key may be. You will want to ask whether it is WEP or WPA as well.

To reset, you can clear the key if you can login to the router, otherwise holding the reset button while the router is unplugged will clear the key (and all the other settings so this might be dangerous). To clear it, hold the button for at least ten seconds.

After a clear, you will need to setup the router again. Consult your documentation if you have it. If it is a netgear or linksys, use IP 192.168.1.1 User=Admin password=Administrator, if you have a D-Link, try IP 192.168.0.1 and User=Admin password=Admin. If it is something else, try either of the previous combos. (unless it is a Cisco, then it is 10.0.0.2 User=Administrator password=Cisco).

Hope this helps, even a little.

You have to reset it to the original factory settings. Refer your owner's manual on how to reset. Usually there is a small pinhole switch which you need to keep pressed for about 5 seconds.

You will lose all settings and will have to configure your router again.
