What voltage converter should I have to use this DVD in Canada?

Hello, Jarosaw -

Clarification: You are asking about a DVD player?

I have no idea where you reside now. If you reside in the USA and want to use your DVD player in Canada, you do not need any kind of voltage converter. Both Canada and the USA use 120 volt electrical service.

If you live in the United Kingdom and wish to use your U.K. DVD (220 volts) player in Canada (120 volts), I refer you to the information here:
https://whatplug.info/from/uk/to/canada

If you are not in the U.K., I suggest you use your favorite search engine to find the proper kind of voltage converters for electronics purchased in the country where you are located, so you may use them in Canada. I used Google with the following search strategy, using quotation marks as shown:
"voltage converter" "220 v to 120 v"
Or, you can use this kind of search strategy, with quotation marks as shown:
"voltage converter" "Your Country to Canada"
Example:
"voltage converter" "New Zealand to Canada"

Best wishes.

Moving to Canada Korg M50 - 220V to110V ?

110 will not damage it, just will not work, if built in power supply should say on the rating plate next to power input the voltage it is able to take, a lot of units are rated 110-240v some will have a small switch to change over from 110 to 240. Other than that, you will need to get a step up unit to supply 240 from 110 just a small transformer unit.

Hi my phone says E8 on the screen whats wrong?

Hello, Ken.

From Uniden:

If there is an error code with an E followed by a number or "88" displays/flashes it would be an internal issue in the base unit. The unit would need repair.

Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Uniden phones that are purchased in the US or Canada are only made for use in the US or Canada. Using this phone in other countries will void the warranty and also may damage the unit due to the differences in electrical standards. Also the unit may not work as specified.

Hope this helps.

We just purchased this new nuvi, upon turning the model on, it has aquired a satellite in the US. How do you change it from Washington State to BC, Canada. We started the power, then HOME, then changed...

I own a Garmin also so Im pretty familiar with them but I have never traveled out of the United States with one. Im sure you know the principal of a GPS is to locate the satellites that circle the earth. You need a minimum of 3 for the GPS to function correctly. But usually its locked on to more of them. I think you issue maybe more with the maps in your unit then satellites. Here is my suggestion because I dont know what maps your unit covers for you. You need a tech to tell you how much coverage your current maps in your unit will cover and how far in Canada they will go but I think your going to need a new set of maps. Go here www.garmin.com either click the link or copy and paste it in to your web browser. When you get on Garmins site then look at the top of the page to the right it will say My Garmin click on that and set up a account with a user name and password. At that point you can check the maps and the coverage of them or you can contact Garmins Technical support by phone or by email to tell you the coverage you have in your unit now.

I hope this helps you out and if it does please leave me a YES for helping you with this question. Thank you.

I have a metz 60ct-1 flash with a dry cell battery pack. Can I use it with the canon 50D digital slr. if I use the external sync,or would it hurt my camera because it has to much voltage?

Hi I just purchased the same unit last week. DO NOT PLUG IT INTO A DIGITAL CAMERA DIRECTLY.
I got very good advise from KEH photography located in Atlanta.
The voltage is too high from this flash and will destroy the circuits in the new Canon digital camera. You need a module called the " Safe sync " This unit clips onto your new digital camera, ( were the normal Canon flash fits ) and has the "PC" ( the little round connector input ) for the Metz control cable,
I am an electronic technologist, and still suggest contacting your local photo shop.I know electronics , but not all the photo stuff. Snap away and be happy!

I live in Canada Quebec near Ottawa, purchased nuvi 200W, it picked up my location and found surrounding towns etc, but when I search for example a train station it keeps defaulting to NewYork ?

Canada does not come pre loaded on those units. The update disc will not add it on either. What you need is the Pre-programed City navigator chip for Canada. Normally retails around $59.99 US

Power Compatibility

Look on the power supply or the back of the unit. You will most likely see something like "INPUT 100-240VAC 50-60Hz 15-20VA". If so, then all you need is a plug adapter. If not, you'll need a power converter.
