I purchased a Razor v3 that had been branded with a Cingular logo at start up, the phone is a quad band and unlocked. What happens is when you turn on the phone the turn on sound does not work and when receiving a call it does not ring, it will announce a call when set to vibrate mode.
You can get it to work normally and ring if you remove the battery and put the battery back in and turn on the phone again, but after being on for a while it seems to go back to the no ring mode.
I have tried everything on the menus to attempt to fix the problem including master reset, but nothing seems to work short of removing and replacing the battery.
Any help would be appreciated.
That means the phone's main-board is faulty so you both need to have the mobiles exchanged.

First, dial on the phone *#06# like you are going to call someone. This should reveal a code called the IMEI. Write it down, then call AT&T either by 611 from the phone or 800.331.0500 and provide them with the IMEI. Then, they will give you the unlocking code and walk you through how to put it in.

Im having the EXACT problem, im not sure what it is, and id LOVE to know.
Same problem also, i have it on vibrate when i'm during private meetings but as soon as i'm out, i put it on volume 1, in which thru the settings i have set it on vibe and ring , but when i recieve calls it doesnt vibe at all but it rings, so i go back thru the settings and it reads ring only, once again, i fix it back to vibe & RING, then when i switch back to vibe settings on side buttons and back to volume 1, it still does the same problem.
Exact same problem on my wife's phone. Verizon has attempted to "reprogram" 4 different times with no success. I guess they cannot admit it is an actual problem with the phone. I am calling to demand a new one.

Phone works fine except no ring or speakerphone. Vibrate does work.
