Fuse intact in supply lead but Neff H5470NO appears 'dead' - nothing working and no indicator lights is there another fuse ?

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.

safety fuse (internal) will have blown usually caused by faulty inverter short circuit if fuse changed and blows again this is what it will be costly repair if out of guarantee.

NEFF MICROWAVE OVEN BLOWS 10A INTERNAL FUSE
We had the same problem, got Neff service engineer to come out after taking out insurance. He said the megatron cracks which is a large magnet and causes the fuse board to blow and needs to be replaced. This occurs through lack of ventilation on instalation. Total cost £370 may as well get a new one. Plus our insurance wouldn't pay the cost and cancelled the insurance policy.

Neff combination microwave oven
We have had NEFF repair man out again and he replaced the door switchs and this time it is OK.He did say if it was a problem again it will be classed as unrepairable because he thinks it is shorting out on an internal rivet on the bodywork which is inaccesable. fingers crossed it was the door switchs and it dosent blow the main fuse again .thanks for your responce. Neff combi blown diode.
If the diode failed by opening, there may be no other damage. If the dioded failed by shorting, the alternating current may have damaged other components. Ohm it out. You can get diodes from digikey.com, mouser.com, or radio shack or any electronics or appliance supply. If the diode is charred and you can't get the part number, the oven rating can be used to select a replacement. Since the fuse was 10 amps, the diode should also handle at least 10 amps. If you can power the unit and read the voltage at the diode input this will give you the power (volts times amps). It's always worth trying as it's cheaper than replacing the unit.
