Hello...
Full details about sound issue in my website...
www.sureshayyar.110mb.com (Support page)

As an alternative u can do this (i am using this solution till date)

If u cant install the sound driver correctly, just buy a " USB Sound Adaptor" and connect it to the USB port and connect the speaker sound jack to the sound port in this adaptor....u will get back the sound....also keep in mind that u " may " have to disable onboard sound in BIOS, u may also have to make changes in the Control Panel / Sound and Audio Devices / Audio Tab / Sound Playback option... Click the drop down button and select the "USB Audio Devices/Headset"

You can get it in Ebay for $1 to $4 or google it to locate a place near u......

This is the one i am refering to(I bought it in Ebay for 1$)....u can buy something similar also....there are many available mfd from China, just plug and play on your USB port....

If you find this solution useful please leave a feedback and rating to this solution.

Regards....
All the best, my dear friend....I cannot get sound through the optical in of my - 1814c30.jpg

Yamaha 5440 optical input not working

  1. Ensure that the optical cable is properly connected to both the PC sound card and the receiver.
  2. Check that the PC sound card is outputting sound through the optical cable. You can do this by going into the sound settings on your computer and selecting the optical output as the default audio device.
  3. Try using a different optical cable to rule out a faulty cable as the issue.
  4. Check the receiver's settings to make sure that the correct input is selected for the optical input.
  5. If none of the above steps work, it's possible that the optical input on the receiver has malfunctioned and may require repairs or replacement.
If you're still having trouble with the optical input, it may be best to consult the user manual or contact Yamaha customer support for further assistance.

Prosound 1000 amp protect light

If the amp has an overload protection to it, which is sounds like it does, there should be a reset for the amp or a method of resetting the amp to working condition. Go to the manufacturers website and look for that or send them an email. They will be able to direct you.

No sound

Is the speaker with no sound, actually connected to anything? (if it's connected to the first speaker, it's possible that the speaker is simply dead and needs replaced)
