Not at all its very basic With the engine cold remove the lower rad hose and drain the coolant {this can be recycled by straining it with a fine screen {panty hose works fine]remove the top hose and loosen the rad mounts.Make shure the ign is off and remove the rad cooling fan and ac bolts [if fitted].remove the thermostat and flush the system with a regular garden hose until its clean. You should replace the thermostat with a new one [only a couple of bucks but a must do on an older car]
fit the new rad [tip last off -first thing on]and connect the hoses refill and top up your coolant.Start your car and allow to reach normal working [let it idle until the rad fan cuts in and out a few times and hey presto yoy saved yourself money and repaired your own vehicle [well done]

I must add that a thermostat on a 2004 Forenza costs about $85 and must be bought from the dealer, otherwise its as he said.

My 2007 chevy impala windshield wiper dont work but the motor is running, what do i do?

Your wiper arm that is connected to the wiper motor under the plastic where you remove the wiper arms has come off or broken or the wiper motor is striped out the arm is good and simply need a new motor. You will have to remove the cover under the wiper blades it is as wide as the front of the car. Look under it to see what is actually going on. These are not very complicated repairs and can be done by a novice person. if you need further help please ask me i can send diagrams threw my home email if you think you need it. It is a pretty simple procedure. Also Please remember to rate my solution and leave testimonial this is how i earn my achievements Thanks in advance. .

How do i replace the brakes on a 1997 chrysler l.h.s?

You need to buy a good service (shop) manual for this car, it will explain it step by step. It is not terribly hard, but is too complicated to explain here. Have you ever replaced the brakes on any vehicle before? There are a few special tools that you will need, but they are not expensive. What is your level of experience with auto repairs? Do you know proper safety procedures for jacking and supporting a vehicle with the wheels removed? This is not a job for a novice, but if you have someone who is experienced, they can walk you through it.

How much work is it to fix a leak. it is spraying out anti freeze up by the motor. It looks like maybe the where the seal may go

If the leak is a hose, not a big deal. Drain antifreeze disconnect hose, instal new hose, refill antifreeze. If the leak is a water pump also not a big deal, same procedure.
If the leak is in the radiator, a bit more complicated. Radiator can be replaced or repaired by a radiator shop.
If leak is coming from somewhere else on the engine, could be more serious, like a gasket leak. If this happened you would get fluids mixing ( oil/gas)
Good luck. A Haynes manual is a good investment for your car.

How hard is it to put a clutch in a 1995 saab 900s

You may find that this job is quite difficult as the transmission needs to come out, drive shafts, shifter, etc. Not a task for a novice, fairly complicated...

Leaking Coolant - Water Pump Replacement

Depends on your experience, confidence, what tools you have and how much risk you can tolerate if you get into the job and can't finish it or do it incorrectly. A water pump poorly done could result in a damaged engine. It's a fair ways complicated for a novice but within the range of someone who's done brakes or replaced belts, hoses alternators etc. To see what you have to do, find a repair book for your car at the library. Otherwise it will cost somewhere around $200 to $400 depending how complicated the repair.

How to replace ac condensor on 1995 dodge neon

un hook the lines, remove the radiator, remove the ac lines, remove the condenser supports, then it is out. i would not recommend this to a novice mechanic. you need a vaccume pump to refill the r134a.

I have a 1991 lexus that needs a radiator. Is it complicated and expensive to replace a radiator in a lexus?

Not too complicated, removing the fans is the hardest part. Try an aftermarket site like rockauto.com.

No heat

if you replaced the thermostat, you have an air bubble trapped in the engine. So, you don't have any coolant running through the heater core, therefore no heat.
sometimes hard to "burp" air bubble. Try this. Park park facing uphill and jack up front of car too. You want to get radiator opening higher than top of engine. Then remvoe radiator cap (cold engine), fill radiator, then fill coolant reservoir to full point. Install radiator cap but leave it loose so air can escape. Start engine until upper radiator hose going into radiator is hot. This should burp air. Repeat a few times while adding coolant mix (50/50 antifreeze) to keep radiator full. Be careful not to remove radiator cap when engine is hot.
lwt us know how ou make out. There is a more complicated procedure but you need tools and knowledge of where air bleed is on top of engine
