Question about NetGear FM114P Cable/DSL ProSafe 802.11b Wireless Firewall (FM114PGE) Router
Works fine without encription ( WEP )
But when you use the encription function, a message saying that there is "limited or no connectivity" is displayed. When you check the "status" and identify the I address, one has been assigned. By manually putting the IP address in the Internet Protocol ( TCP/IP ) page, connection is established. However, when you look at the status again, you will realise that you can only SEND but not RECEIVE. !!!!
Any suggestions ?
Make sure that the wep key you enter is correct and it is case sensitive (64 bit or 128 bit)

You have to log in to the router and set the WEP phrase and then use the same phrase on the computer to connect. Exactly how you do it depends on how the router is set up and what operating system you are using on your computer.
