i have the same problem, is there anyway to fix it?
I just moved the tv to a new spot, turned it on and it worked fine in the morning. In the evening when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on.
Red Light was on, but the tv wouldn't light up at all when pressing power on remote or on the tv itself.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Seven
blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit
goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal
circuits. You must have through knowledge in electronics to proceed. This is a very skilled wor. You must have all measuring instruments, and ability to follow its schematic diagram.
Theaterview suggests a rear projection--in that case it most likely is in the convergence circuit--unsolder chips (convergence) and see if set turns on.
Some of their regular TV sets (picture tube) if the light is just blinking means the same thing=shutdown because of a short/problem but a model number would tell me which you have.
Do any of the green led lights in the set come on?---red one should be on all the time--blinking would indicate a problem in the power supply at the primary side (INPUT).
I have the same exact problem...for a few weeks the TV would turn off and the red power light would blink. Then the other day I started having exactly the problem you describe...green screen for a few seconds and then total shutdown.
Your TV is in shutdown. Unplug the set from the wall and wait 30 seconds. Apply power and see if the set comes back on. If the problem is the same (red blinking light) then you need to call a repairman. The most likely suspects are the convergence chips , vertical loss, power regulator or horizontal circuit problems. The shutdown circuit monitors multiple circuits for voltage and current malfunctions. That is why you need someone trained to troubleshoot the problem. Good luck!
The TV is in protection mode. An internal problem was detected and the set shutdown to prevent further damage. If the set is only 9 months old, it should still be under warranty. Call and request warranty service.
Unplug the TV from the outlet for about 30 seconds. This will reset the microprocessor. Re apply AC and power on the TV. If your lucky the set will come on and play. If not, the red light will start blinking again indicating shutdown. There are many reasons for the set to go into shutdown, but one of the most common cause is failure of the convergence output IC`s. If your TV is in shutdown, you will need to find a qualified technician for proper diagnosis and repair.
TV shutdown, red light blinks but no turn on
