I think you blue up a part on one of the system boards inside the tv. You should probably unplug it and call a tv repair tech. Or just buy a new one if its really old.
Thats the Inverter board. Your model used several different types which are not interchangeable. You can get the correct Inverter Board for your model by contacting the guys over at www.tvrepairworld.com
Where there is smoke be careful---something burned---If you cannot see it voltages will have to begin with be tested and it is possible it happened inside a place where it cannot be seen.
Look down in the area where the smoke was seen--a part or a wire or a plug even may have smoked.
Hello No. Ofcourse not. What are you saying. Smoke over the TV! Switch it OFF. There is something wrong with its internal circuit. Any capcitor or resistor burns. Cannot troubleshoot remotedly to this fault. Plasma TVs may heat up to an extent, and there will be fans at the top of them to **** out the heat produced while it works. Look, whther the fans are working. If not replace them or findount the reason. A plasma Tv; whatever old it is; won't blow out smoke at all. OK.
Smoke is never a good thing. Is the set still under warranty? If so, request warranty service. If not, can you carefully open up the back and either post a photo here or post what you see? Look for burned resistors or capacitors that have bulging tops. Let us know what you find.
You power supply smoked on the TV.
The power supply will need to be fix because there are not many service parts available. Today's electronics devices are basically made disposable when they break down.
ok, your tv is still on repairable condition, smoke that came out from your unit due to an ic that burned,I'm sure it's the vertical ic replaced with a new one.same part number.
