You don't lite it it's an electronic ignition if it's not 40 years old,the model number you sent isn't correct, this doesn't mean the ignitor is bad either, there are other parts that will stop it from liting,if it hasn't been cleaned out in a long time you can try reading out the thermal fuse and clean out the dryer so this doesn't happen again or call in a tech to help you out, good luck

Need to relight pilot light on MDG6200AWW gas dryer.

That unit has an electronic ignitor. You should not have to lite the pilot. There is no pilot to lite. If the dryer is taking longer then normal to heat. Check your vent to the outside. If the ignitor is not turning on it could be the ignitor, flame sensor and or thermal fuse. Check D.I.Y. Appliance Repair Troubleshooting to see if there is anything that can help you there.

Kenmore gas dryer

That model does not have a pilot light.  It has an electronic ignitor.  If it is not igniting, either the igniter is not getting a signal to ignite, the igniter is burned out, or the gas solenoid is broken.  Probably the igniter is burned out.  It is item number 3018 at RepairClinic.com.
