We need to narrown down the causes first by trying this monitor with a good working PC to make sure it is not monitor problem, we do not want to open uip the monitor unless we have to. Newer sata drives do not rely on the master/slave settings that old IDE drives used. Remove the old drive from the bad computer and plug it into an available slot in the new computer. Boot the new computer. Under My Computer/Computer the second drive will show up with the next letter available. Alternately you can buy an external hard drive dock that connects via usb and use that to transfer your files.
