SOURCE: Panasonic 32 inch LCD TV will not turn on-red light flashing

The number of flashes is an error code. Count the number of flash. It looks like one of the boards in your set is failing intermittently. Panasonic codes for a guide as a starting point. Exact board STILL has to be verified;
One Blink: One blink of the power LED indicates a problem in the inverter circuit located on the LCD panel. The inverter board is not to be repaired in the field. Therefore a replacement is required.
Three Blinks: Three blinks of the power LED indicates an over-current or over-voltage condition in one of the DC supplies of the AP board. The AP board is repairable. Therefore the use of an ohmmeter and peak-hold-voltmeter is required to determine the cause of the shutdown. An over-voltage condition is definitely a defect of the AP board. An over-current condition may be due to a short circuit located in the AP board, A board, or the LCD panel.
Five, Seven, or Eight Blinks: The A board is responsible for five, seven or eight blinks of the power LED. The MAIN +3.3V, MAIN +5V, and MAIN +9V sources are all produced on the A board. The detection input pins of the MPU, IC1100, monitor for their presence.
Four or Six Blinks: The AP board is responsible for four or six blinks of the power LED. The DTV9V, and SUB_5V sources are produced on the AP board. The MPU IC1100 monitors for their presence when the unit is connected to AC Power. A short or open circuit on the A board may also be responsible for their absence.
Nine Blinks: Nine blinks of the power LED is due a short circuit in the audio output circuit (s) of the unit. The audio output circuit is located on the A board. Confirm the status of the speakers. If defective, perform a replacement. If ok, replace the A board.
Ten Blinks: Ten blinks of the power LED indicates a malfunction of IC4200, the frame converter. This IC resides on the A board. Therefore ten blinks of the power LED requires the replacement of the A board.

SOURCE: Panasonic remote and volume/channel buttons do not work

My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh

This is a known fault. John Lewis in the UK sent out an engineer under their 5 yr TV guarantee and completed the firmware upgrade for me. The only other store to compare with them for price and service is Richer Sounds but I believe you now have to buy the warranty for 10% of the purchase price. This problem will persist unless the upgrade is completed. For those of you in the UK, I would insist the seller repairs the problem under the Sale of Goods and Services Act as the TV is not fit for purpose without the upgrade. You have 6 yrs (not a year or 6 months) to claim under this Act.

Panasonic tv model tc-p42c2 remote is inop

It is a common thing that all the buttons of a universal remote control might not work, as it meant to be. Try an other code. If this too won't help you, there is no other way than buy a new original remote control for your Panasonic TV. You can buy in from the authorized service center for Panasonic at your town. Just give them the exact model number to your TV. They will provide you the original one.

Friend's Vizio 55 HD 550 I believe is having power supply issues. Started out that the panel light on the power button is no longer on but Vizio tag on front turns on/off and standby White/yellow/off....

Well, the power supply module and voltage checking will be the first thing to check. You can read my guides to for more details and also check out my pictures albums of failed TV and monitors mostly due to bad caps.

Or www.digikey.com, just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current and long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

Screen won't turn on using either the power button or remote. Power button blinks red. All cables have been checked and confirmed working.

Inspect the power supply caps, look for bad one with domed tops first.
See failed SAMSUNG TV's here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/SAMSUNG/
The problem can be other circuits also, but start at the power supply section first.

I have an LG-1934S. The screen won't turn on - power button continues to flash blue. Checked cords - unplugged plugged back in - blue light keeps flashing. Hit keys on keyboard and on mouse - nothing....

To find out where the problem is, you will have to try this monitor with another PC or try another monitor with this PC first to narrow down the problem.
Please post back after what you find out so we can help you further.

I have a 6 month old tv and for some reason it won't turn on, it is pluged in and I can't get any sort of response from it when I hit the power button the the tv or remote any ideas?

If the AC outlet checked out OK, I would get the TV fixed under warranty ASAP, it should not break down in six months which is not a good sign at all. Do not open it up either, it will void the warranty.
It may have power supply or main board problem.
