normally head phones comes with two jack heads, one for hearing and the other for speaking, but come with just one jack.
The one for hearing is still functioning well , but the one for speaking is not working,
First thing not to do, do not tamper with it, do not try to loose it. It is not contacting well inside, might be a factory problem.
What to do is this, Since you said you just bought it, i would advice you package it nicely and take it back to them for replacement, am sure it will still on guarantee.
The instructional booklet that came with your MadCatz item usually explains what you need to do. If it didn't come with a booklet, try charging it, then syncing it with your PS3 using the PS3's bluetooth sync capability.
