Okay i have the mad catz 8806 mic it flashes red and blue and charges fine but i cant talk into it and cant hear anyone through it at all it beeps and i hear that.

If the headset you have is the Item No. 8860 in order to use it you have to pair it.
If you are using it on a PS3 then be sure that you have selected the headset in the PlayStation's settings.

Pairing is a process of associating Bluetooth devices with each other. It will establish a permanent security link between the devices and enable quick access to the services provided without the need to re-enter Pass Keys. You will only need to pair your PS3 and the Headset once.

Paired devices remain paired even when:
-One of the devices is powered off.
-A service connection is interrupted or stopped.
-One or both devices are restarted.

Pairing the Headset with the PS3
Before the Headset can be used with the PS3, the two devices must be 'paired' so they can communicate with each other. Use a gaming controller for this procedure and ensure that the Headset is powered on (flashing blue LED light) and that it is not being charged via USB cable.

1. Power on your PS3 console.

2. Within the "Settings" menu, press X on "Accessory Settings."

3. Press X on the icon labeled: "Manage Bluetooth® Devices."

4. Scroll down and press X on the icon labeled: "Register New Device."

IMPORTANT: Depending on your model of the 8860 Bluetooth® Headset, your power button is either an oval shape with an icon of a circle with a line going through it (5a) or it is a button with a phone icon (5b). Please follow the appropriate next step depending on your model of the 8860.

5a. Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3 by holding down the K1 button until the LED flashes Blue and Red (hold K1 approx 12 seconds).

5b. Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3 by tapping the pairing button located next to the volume controls on the side until the LED flashes BOTH Blue and Red.

6. Once the Headset's LED indicator is alternately flashing Blue and Red (indicating the Headset is ready to be paired), press X on "Start Scanning."

7. Once Scan is complete, the PS3 will recognize all Bluetooth devices within range.

8. Locate "8860" from the list of available devices and press X on its icon to be prompted for a Pass Key

9. Enter 0000 (four zeros) as the Pass Key and press X on OK

10. You should then be taken to a new screen stating: "Register completed"

.

Troubleshooting

Q. The PS3 is unable find the Headset.
A. If the Headset has been paired with another Bluetooth device, the PS3 will have trouble finding the Headset. Either remove the Headset from the paired device or turn off the Bluetooth power on the paired device.

Q. The Headset cannot be activated after being charged for 20 minutes.
A. To activate the Headset, the battery needs to charge for at least 40 minutes. It is highly recommended to fully charge the battery before use.

Q. No indication of charging is shown.
A. If the Headset battery is empty or has not been used for a long time, it may take some time for the Headset LED indicator to show charging status with a steady Red light. Make sure the PLAYSTATION 3 is turned on. The 8860 cannot charge without the console being turned on.

Q. No sound can be heard from the Headset.
A. Please make sure of the following:

-Make sure that the two devices have been paired.
-Make sure that the Headset is turned on.
-Make sure that the two paired devices are within 30 Ft. (9.15 meters) of each other.

*** Do not try to pair the headset to the PLAYSTATION 3 when the headset is attached to the USB cable. If it is attached to the USB cable when trying to pair up, it won't pair with the PLAYSTATION 3. ***

Hope it helps
