Replacing light bulb GE JVM1871SK

That's odd, but it looks like the owner's manual and some parts lists were not updated to reflect the addition of the automatic louver.

The light you need to replace is part number WB08X10027 and it's an assembly with the bulb, socket, and cable.

It's not shown on some suppliers' parts lists, but it is reference number 48 on the diagram, found here. It is shown near the top center of the diagram.

You can order it from the Pros here.

You must not touch halogen types with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

It looks like you will have to remove the oven from the wall, then remove the outer cover.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

This an old range with side by side ovens which work perfectly. the 4 burners slide out, all 4 elements will heat, but do not get to a high heat, is there a control which affects all of the elements ...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

This sounds like your missing 1/2 of your input power. Go to the main CB panel and cycle the Range CB to OFF by pressing it hard to off and then back on. Test your burners again.

Still have the problem? Start looking in the area of the house to oven power connection / terminal block in the back of the oven for signs of HOT / burned terminals.

Still have the problem... Last check is to check wiring in the main controls area.

Without your model number this a VERY generic response but when all burners present the same symptom it is usually input power or control related.

If you respond with a model number I wil see what I can find that may help you troubleshoot your Oven.

Thank for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Changing microwave light bulb

Check the owner's manual to see if yours is a model which allows access to the lights without pulling it down from the wall.

Accessing the lights on some models will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download owner's manuals and installation instructions for several brands (including Amana, Frigidaire, Jenn-Air, Kitchenaid, Litton, Maytag, Roper, Tappan, Thermador and Whirlpool) here.

Most bulbs can be matched up at hardware stores, home improvement centers, and places like Wal-Mart or even large grocery stores.

Many use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

You can find handy exploded views and order parts by model number here.

I have a panasonic microwave, model NN-GD566M. The bulb has gone but the microwave still functions ok, I cannot find the instruction manual and need to purchase the part, Can you help. I need the part...

You can find the instructions for this model here and here.

You should be able to find generic replacement bulbs from local appliance parts stores, home improvement stores, or via a local Panasonic-authorized servicer you can locate here.

Many models use one halogen lamp to illuminate the cooktop and another to illuminate the cavity. You must not touch them with your bare skin as the oils will shorten the bulb life.
