Unplug your modem, router, and XBOX. Then plug the modem in. After that is all the way up, plug your router in. After that's all the way up, turn your XBOX on. If that doesn't do the trick, you may have to reset your router to factory settings by holding the tiny pinhole button down for a few seconds. (usually located on the back of your router.) If THAT doesn't help, then go into your XBOX network configuration and make sure you have everything configured properly. But it sounds more like a router issue than anything else in my opinion.

Find proxy server address

Changing TCP/IP settings Win 7 TCP/IP defines how your computer communicates with other computers.
To make it easier to manage TCP/IP settings, we recommend using automated Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). DHCP automatically assigns Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to the computers on your network, if your network supports it. If you use DHCP, then you don't have to change your TCP/IP settings if you move your computer to another location, and DHCP doesn't require you to manually configure TCP/IP settings, such as Domain Name System (DNS) and Windows Internet Name Service (WINS). To enable DHCP or change other TCP/IP settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, typeadapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
  2. Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties. 25e7e385-9327-4f7d-aab0-afa5aaf952ba_49.jpgThe Network Connection Properties dialog box
  4. To specify IPv4 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IP address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IP address, and then, in the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  5. To specify IPv6 IP address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get IP settings automatically using DHCP, click Obtain an IPv6 address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify an IP address, click Use the following IPv6 address, and then, in the IPv6 address, Subnet prefix length, and Default gateway boxes, type the IP address settings.
  6. To specify DNS server address settings, do one of the following:
    • To get a DNS server address automatically using DHCP, click Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK.
    • To specify a DNS server address, click Use the following DNS server addresses, and then, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server boxes, type the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers.

How to change my router's MAC address Netopia 3397G

Using a router is a great way to create a home or office network without having to spend a lot of money.
As long as you have a broadband Internet connection through an Internet service provider, you can use a router to get all of the computers in your home or office connected.
If you have chosen Netopia as your router brand of choice, you will have to configure it to make your network operable.

Power on your Netopia router, broadband modem and computer.
Open your Internet browser.
Type the router IP address, 192.168.1.254, into the address bar. Hit "Enter" on your keyboard. Log into your Netopia router with the username and password assigned to you by your Internet service provider.
Select "Expert Mode."
After entering expert mode, you will see a menu bar at the top of the configuration window.
Click on the "Home" tab. Many Internet service providers will ship your Netopia router to you preconfigured.
If it is preconfigured all of the fields, such as IP address, subnet mask and default gateway will already be populated. If the fields are not populated, proceed to the next step.

Click on the "Configure" tab. Select "WAN." Select "ATM." Enter the "VPI" and "VCI" numbers provided by your Internet service provider.
Choose your encapsulation option.
For example, "Routed IP," "PPPOE," etc... Click "Submit."

Select "WAN" on the left side of your configuration window.
Choose the "VCC1" option. Select the option to "Enable Interface."
If you do not have your own IP address, choose the option to "Obtain an IP Address Automatically."
If you do have your own IP address, uncheck the automatic IP address box.

Type in your IP address if you have your own.
Enter your subnet mask.
This information can be obtained from your Internet service provider.
Select the "NAT" option if you are using your own private IP address for your network connection. Click on "Submit."

Select "WAN" on the left side of your configuration window.
Ensure that there is a check in the "Gateway Option" box and "IP Address" is selected as the "Interface Type."
Type in your "Default Gateway" address.
This can be obtained from your Internet service provider.
Click "Submit."

Select the "Configure" tab at the top of your window. Select "LAN."
Select "Enable Interface."
Type in the IP address for your router and subnet mask. Click "Submit."

Click on the yellow caution symbol on the top right hand side of your window to save all configuration changes.
Click on "Save."
Restart your computer for the changes to become effective.

    X box 360

You can't get an IP address on the Xbox that way. You need to get an IP address from a device that works as a DHCP server such as a residential router. Connecting the Xbox to the PC will do nothing for you.
