Has the radio gone into theft lock? If it has, you probably need a code to get it out of theft lock. I have been told some of these codes are online, somewhere, I haven't looked?
If the radio is not in theft lock and you just need to know how to set it, your owners manual should have this info. If you don't have an owners manual you can read one online for free at
www.my.gm.com
Just enter the year--make--model.
There is a lock on the radio in case it was stolen. A code needs to be entered. I'm afraid I don't remember the procedure for your radio but am going to guess that if you looked in the glove box through the paperwork for the car like the owners manual, you will find the code in there most likely written down. I do hope there are some instructions with it for your sake on the process of how to enter it. I wish i could help you more as far as how to enter it but at least you know the radio isn't broke and this is all it is. Good luck.
Try Doctor Don's. He is an AC Delco expert who can repair a lot of AC Delco radios. He put some new amps into my Radio/CD player for my 1990 Cadillac Deville so it would play in my AC Delco Radio's place. He really knows what he is doing when it comes to radios.
haha well you set the code he made it think he was stealing it so you have to know the code or the previous owner set the code then your screwed and have to get a new radio
are u the original owner of the car ?if so do you still have the books that came with the car? look for the delco radio book !there should be a card in there with a code and instructions! if not the only wasy is to go to the dealer or a radio repair shop to have it unlocked!
You should have been given the code when you bought the car. Check in the paper work or in your owner's manual. The other solution is to contact a Chevy dealer. Give them your VIN and proof of ownership of the vehicle and they can provide you with the code.
