I can't deactivate the alarms on my clock either.

I can't find out how to disable my alarm. It keeps going off while I'm doing my school. How do I disable it?

  • Anonymous May 25, 2008

Timex made this too complex; 7-5-2, I don't think so.  The way I finally shut the alarm setting off was to unplug it, pull the battery and let it sit for awhile.

Okay, I feel better seeing it's not just me, though I wish I'd read this when I first bought this piece-of-junk alarm so I'd have known not to waste any more time on it. I have read and re-read the manual and done everything they've said step-by-step and STILL cannot get the alarms inactivated. I can only choose between everyday, M-F, or Sat/Sun. The manual is completely ridiculous. I have never had a problem programming anything like this. It's crazy! I'm thinking I must have just gotten a lemon. This one's heading to the garbage. What a waste of $$...

Okay, I'm not going CRAZY!!!! I'm having the same problem - I got fed up and unpluged it too.

I am a certified genius, speak 6 languages, have 2 college degrees and work as a computer programmer and I can't figure the danged thing out either. Hmph. Should've read reviews BEFORE I bought it :X

Timex T307S
I lost my manual also so had to resort to relentless trial and error.
The problem with the alarm is that it is too easy to turn it on.
The 1 and 2 buttons on top of the unit with the alarm clock symbol turn each alarm on or off. Your only cue is on the display in the top line of the display which will have a bell followed by “RADIO” or “SOUNDS”, if the alarm is armed. If you see this symbol and want to disarm the alarm, press the 1 or 2 alarm button according to which alarm was on the display. It’s just as easy to turn the alarm back on either deliberately or accidently
Enter Alarm Setting mode by holding the 1 or 2 alarm button for about 2 seconds.
Display will flash – in this mode you will be able to do the following
Date Set Button – changes between Everyday/Mon-Fri/Sat-Sun
Arrow Buttons – adjust the time setting
Alarm 1 (Radio):
Mode Button – changes between AM/FM1/FM2
1-6 Buttons -- changes between stations
Alarm 2 (Sounds):
Mode Button – changes between SD1/SD2/SD3/SD4/Buzzer
If you don’t change any settings for about 5 seconds the unit exits the alarm setting mode.
Timex already has your money so I guess they are not motivated to publish their manual.

Great advice. The buttons are too sensitive. You only need to press the alarm button once to deactivate. Who knew??

I do this thing. I just hit a button and it works. This IS the explanation, but I did manage to fix it after hitting button after button after combination of button.

First look at the little clock display. Are the alarms showing on the display?

Hit the radio alarm button. The display should go off.
Hit the sounds alarm button. The display should also go off.

This is what it did and it worked for me.

Too danged simple to be real--and NOT in the instructions which I did eventually find pictures of online :X

Here's a link to a photobucket album of the manual i scanned for the Timex T307R.

the pics are not pristine, but you can still read them.

http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o188/ec1000/Timex%20Manual/

i hope this helps everybody, i know that unfortunately Timex cannot help at all by actually putting the damn manual on the internet.

peace.

  • Hi, I can help.
  • As long as the alarm indicator is illuminated on the LCD screen the alarms will sound.
  • To get rid of the alarm indicator press the "enter" button on the top of your alarm clock. No more alarms at all.

Setting Radio Stations for T307S

the power button is on the right hand side, top button in the row. It is engraved with POWER and underneath it says SLEEP. You might need to hold it in for a second or two. If this does not turn on the radio, it sounds like your unit is defective.

How do I reset the radio alarm preset on Timex (T307S) Clock Radio

if the radio alarm is still showing the nonexistent 98.5, you would need to reset the radio alarm. Press and hold button 1 (top left hand side) until the display starts blinking. Then press the preset button for 98.1. It should then display 98.1 on your radio alarm. good luck this is the most difficult set of instructions I've seen yet
