Cameras come along with software cd which will help you acquire the images from camera onto pc.
The software installation is easy and just a 1 time process. Next time onwards, you can just connect your camera through a USB cable and start the camera, the software gets started automatically recognising the camera and uploading pictures and videos to your pc.
Picasa from Google can do the same task if you don't find the software cd which came along with your camera.

Video no longer transferable to PC

One of the most important things for transfering files from a camera to a computer is the software installed on the computer. Perhaps you did forget you installed this when your camera was new. The software came with the camera.
Try reinstalling the software that came with you camera, or us an external memory card reader. You don't need extra software to transfer the file from the card to your computer, but you still need software to play the video. You also could try to install a free video player like gom player. There are more free players. There are so many different video formats, so chose one that can play lots of different video formats, if you don't have the Sony CD or DVD.

I cannot install the software for the camera to my pc.

You don't need to install anything.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as ACDSee.

Icant down load my photos from camera to computer

Check if your device, conectted with USB cable at pc) is read and detected for the PC explorer program. If yes, just copy/paste your files.

Its possible that you need to re-install digital camera software or look for some Fujifilm upgrade.

Dear Sir How to transfer large videos from nikon s3000 to pc ? regards sarbjit singh

Hi singhsrbjit ,

Please follow the procedure below to transfer your video files from your camera to your pc.

  1. Install the nikon software which you get in the disc supplied with your camera.
  2. After installting the software , the moment you connect your camera to your pc , and switch it on , it will indicate that your device nikon 3000s has been successfully connected in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
  3. When you go in my computer , by double clicking the icon on the desktop , you will find a directory for your nikon camera.
  4. When you open up that directory you will be able to search for the video files , that you have captured.
  5. When you find the video files that you need to copy you just have to select them , by pressing ctrl on the keyboard and clicking once on the icon of the video file , and repeat this procedure for the other multiple files that you want to select.
  6. Once you have selected, you just need to make a folder on your desktop or anywhere on your root drive for e.g. c:\my videos , then open the new folder and right click in the white space and choose paste option and you will find that your video files are being copied to your hard disk.
Hope this helps...:)

I dont have the installation disc for my ge a1050 to upload videos. how/where can i get this?

Hi. Does your camera come with a memory card? A much easier way to transfer your files to the computer is by using a memory card reader. These are cheap and is an easy way to connect your card to the pc. First just take out the memory card from the camera, insert it in the memory card card and then connect to computer. You will see the contents of your memory card and you can easily copy and paste the files without the need to install the software for your camera. It also saves battery since you will not be turning the camera on when you copy pictures and videos. :)

How do I upload my pictures from camera to computer? My PC is not recognizing my camera when plugged in to the port. Am I perhaps missing a program?

Ok, yes you need to download and install the Fuli FinePix software from this link below.

Download and install this software then reboot, at desktop next, connect up camera,it should install the driver, then when done, reboot, this time at desktop, run the software and you will be able to copy and manipulate your camera.
Also when the drivers have been installed, you will see new "Drives" appear in My Computer, now as such, these drives can be used as a normal drive, copy/cut/paste from to anywhere so also you can use that to transfer files too.

There is also a firmware update for your camera too... Below.

Polaroid i533. I have the usb cord but my PC doesn't recognize the software program to transfer photos. The "read me" says XP users don't need the driver installed from the CD. I tried that too and no...

You should try and access the files on the camera directly via 'my computer'. Even without running the supplied software, the computer should see the camera as a storage drive and list it in 'my computer' You can then open you camera files, and drag and drop or copy and paste the pictures.

I am new at this computer stuff and i wanted to know how do you download pitures from a digital camera to the computer

There are a number of ways:
1). The digital camera will have a communications cable (likely USB) and probably a CD. Install the driver software on the CD and then connect the digital camera to the computer using the USB. Every other thing should be as easy as copy and paste. Or of the camera has a management software, it will give you options to sync with your Pictures folder.
2). You can save your shots on memory card inserted in the camera. Take the card out and connect to a computer that has card reader slot. Copy your files across.
3). So cameras have Bluetooth connectivity. With the same method of connecting two mobile phones using Bluetooth, you can connect your camera to a Bluetooth enabled laptop and copy the files via Bluetooth.

Error Messages.

Hi, did you try downloading your videos through the included software? It should work best using the included PowerCinema NE for Everio. If you are using windows Vista, then you need to download a patch. Here is the link: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Make sure you have PowerCinema NE for Everio installed before applying the patch. After this, follow a few simple steps. Turn off your camcorder. Connect the USB cable to the computer then to the camcorder. Then, turn it on. The software should load automatically, and using that you should be able to download the files. You might need administrator rights for this.

Hope this helps,
Eric
