8.8. indicates a display pad problem. It happens a lot this time of year. The cold weather causes a problem with the keypad, espicially if the machine is in a garage or a basement. One option is to replace the keypad, but a more immediate solution is to place a heating pad over the display panel. After 10 the 15 minutes the pad will warm the display enough so that it will work.

I couldn't find my heating pad so I used my hair blow dryer and it worked!!

I used the hair dryer - had to take the cover off the back but it work, also tapped the relays and coils with the end of a Screwdriver - machine unplugged of course
