Either. You can probably order a new driver (speaker, no box) from Mission, then put it in yourself. This usually involves 4 screws around the speaker, then disconnecting a coulple of wires, putting the new one in and letting the speaker bed in for a while. You've then got a working speaker, and a nice paperweight.

If you have more money, and fancy an upgrade, you can buy some new speakers. An odd one wouldn't match the others, so it would be 4 satellites and a centre required. The subwoofer should be fine.

Why won't sound come from speakers when it shows signals on the facia

Several possible reasons.

I suggest you remove the radio and disconnect the speakers wires. Test each speaker with a multimeter or even better by connecting each pair of speaker wires to a 9 volt battery when clicks, rustling or other noise will emerge from each speaker proving the wiring is good and the speaker working. If all tests are good the fault is likely to be in the radio audio stages.

Faint sounf from car speakers

Just a couple general ideas. If it is a used car then the head unit is possibly failing. Another possibility is resistance building up at the connections. If you can clean the connections, plugs and slipons with electronic spray, erasure, and fine sand paper if accesable.

When you turn the wheel there is faint squeaking ( soft high pitch)sound. Not a grinding sound. More of a rubbing sound, faint though.

if the noise is heard when you turn and not moving, then you may have some problem with ball joints or tire rod ends.
if the noise is heard when you are moving only then it could be the brake wear indicator start to touch the brake rotor

Logitech Z2300 rustling sound on volume knob movement

I would definately not open up the wired remote. As for the rustling sound, I had the same problem with my set (only with a hissing sound instead of rustling). Make sure the output on your computer is all the way up, as well as the volume on whatever media player you are using. That eliminated the sound for me, but it might be a different problem alltogether.
