How do i get the external audio output to work?

First make sure that your TV has an audio OUT. Most do not. If you do then you can plug into that but you will have to go into the menu on the TV under audio and turn on the external speaker feature. If you do not have an audio OUT then you will have to hook you speaker to the audio OUT of your home stereo system and hook the source output to the input of your stereo. Source being (dvd, cable box). In that case you need to turn off the internal speakers on the TV and just run it through your home stereo system.

2002 Pontiac sunfire front and rear left speakers not working ! Any idea what could be wrong ? I heard there is a factory amp do you know where that would be and if that could be the problem

factory amps are located on the stereo unit itself or in the trunk but only if the car was ordered with premium sound and the possibilities of that car being ordered with premium sound is unlikely. so at the harness in the back of the stereo find the speaker wires and hook up a 9 volt battery to the said speakers that dont work if they crackle then its in the stereo if not its the speakers or wires to speakers with battery hooked up and speakers dont crackle go to speaker and test with a vom and test for 9 volts dc

I have a sherwood stereo receiver s-7100 I want to know how to connect speakers that have a rca typ plug to the receiver

WHY? Speakers with RCA plugs are notoriously low-end and intended for specific same-box amplifiers.

If you must: Make sure their impedance is at least 6-ohms. Lop off the connectors, strip the wires and boogie. Keep the fire extinguisher handy.

Boston 746 speakers

they might have had a mini amp installed in each speaker some models of speakers have that feature to where u have to hook up power and also the regular speaker connections to the radio system basically even if you have a radio with some power then the speakers may have some type of crossover or something that makes it so if u dont have the power hooked up to them then they wont work right... but there are some speakers out there that dont do that, or it could be that if the stereo that u r using may just be that it has barely any output so it doesnt power the speakers... option 1, if it is the stereo then u will eather have to go to a car shop that sells the self powering speakers "not as cheap as regular speakers" and get those or, option 2, which consists of having to install a new stereo system with more power "remember the system hass to have a little more power than all the speakers combined together..."

I have no amp for jamo 1060 sub

Dual Voice-Coil
The unique Dual Voice-Coil design allows both left and right channel sound from just one speaker. Simply hook up both the left and the right channels to the special terminals on the speaker. Hook up one channel only, if the speaker is to be used in a conventional stereo set-up.
I found this on jamo site hope that will help you

Hooking up speakers to amp

YES ! This is usually ok, the speaker cabinet should contain a high pass filter or crossover on the tweeter to decouple it from the low frequency signals. My Linn Index speakers are wired like this.
