Motherboard model 945 of axus company. I have loaded the XP SP-2 OS. But the sound driver provided by the motherboard disc is loading upto 80 to 85 percent and then onward a message is coming that error while installing the driver. It's so surprise that some video and audio file are playing properly but some compressed fromated files are not playing. And also the Master Volume Window is not coming properly. It also doesn't coming in the tray icon on the taskbar. And in the control pannel's Sound & Audio device section It is written that no audio device is connected. But when I had gone through the "My computer/manage/device manager, and checked the audio drivers, It was written that the device is working properly.
So Sir I so confused with this problem. So please help me with this matter.

Alternatively, set Windows 7 to look for hardware driver updates and install them (they might end up in the Windows Update section until you go there and install the update). I did this in Win7 by going to the Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager). Right click on the audio device and choose Update driver (or Properties and the Driver tab). If the Device Manager shows a triangle with an exclamation point, this is an easy solution most of the time.
goto control panel switch to classic view , double click add remove programs , then when the list comes up look for service pack2 and remove , then restart computer
go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.
