37LG30 - loosened the 4 screws on the back of the TV but base mount wouldn't come off. Found that had to remove the screws even though already loose so that doesn't bind in the holes. Did this by making the loose screws bind in the wholes. Using twisers in the whole would have done the same thing. o
To remove the base stand, place the TV face down on a smooth surface. Place a cloth underneath it to protect the screen. Remove the 4 phillipscrews from the stand. The stand can now be removed. The set can with a cover plate you can use to cover the opening.
See page #86 in the User Manual.
Is that a problem? Check the hole size and choose a screw with a head that is bigger than the hole size. Typically select a minimum of 4mm diameter screw.
Depending which cables you are using, you should check your cables to see if you have them in the right order. The other issue with some ILO's they run really hot. Keep the TV away from the wall and allow air flow. If necessary, you may want to buy computer fans and mount them on top of the vents with air flowing outbound. (Using Coarse Thread Drywall Screws to mount-top two holes only) You will need to buy a universal adapter set to 12V. It will take some rigging with wires. (Red for positive and black for ground) Test the fans before mounting. The fans run independently. Also, you will need a switch to turn off the fans when TV is not in use. The problem with some models of ILO's , there are not enough vents for the heat build up. Where ever it's hottest on the back panel, place the exhaust fan there. On bigger screens you may want 2-3 exhaust fans. It is a $25-30.00 investment but your TV will last a lot longer...years
