A Best Power Fortress Systems go threw an inverter check aboutonce a month. Usually you may notice that the unit seems to charge the batteryconstantly, this is a sure sign of a week or dead battery. The unit will stillcondition the power as best it can but if the battery is bad when a poweroutage happens or the inverter test runs the unit will just die! Not goodseeing it can be restarted just by cycling the power. Older units would restartthemselves leaving you venerable for a power outage when the next inverter testis ran or when you really need it.
Maybe the UPS control board is faulty and cannot recognize a incoming power outage. Plus I have heard APC's batteries show a charge on the LED display front panel, but have no capacity to carry you connected load. APC's batteries are notorious for premature failure. My office goes with GE's UPS systems. www.GEPowerQuality.com
May be power to the UPS went off or was not within permissible limits, hence the ups run on batteries until they were completely discharged, the servers went off because they are supplied by this ups. check the power supply to this ups, somebody could be switching it off accidentally. try to sitch the inpu power to the ups to see whether the batteries are okey

Nothing else shut off on that plug. The batteries showed 4 out of the 5 charged lights when I turned it back on.
