I believe you need to connect you MP3 player to Computer using USB. Then only you can delete your songs. Many MP3 players does not allow you delete songs or any media when they are operated. :)
You can reformat it by first resetting it then plugging it into your computer. The method of doing this on a PC is to right click the mp3 player under (My) Computer and then choosing reformat... Make sure you backup all your music and the system files first. Good luck!
The MP715 uses avi format to playback.
From the support internet site of Coby you're able to download Coby Media Manager.
You can use this manager for converting and transferring data.
How to get the manager:
Enter cobyusa.com in the address bar of Internet Explorer.
Next select Support in the page top.
From the support site select Manager fix for the MP822: It is the complete software program.
Follow up the steps to download and install Coby Media Manager, matching your operating system.
After installation, run the Manager.
Select Tools > Device Manager... in the page top of the program.
From Devices List, select MP715. Add >> OK , to setup the selected player as your Favorite device.
In Device configuration you can setup the synchronization and see the output file formats for the selected model.
