I do not want G Chrome. I am trying to make Google my home and browser I am a novice

From your question, it is understood that you want to set Google.com as homepage on your web browser. Also, whenever you try to open your browser, you are getting Ask search.

For your information, Ask search is a kind of virus which infects your browser and changes browser settings without your knowledge. Hence, it is vital to remove it completely from your computer. To do this, the following link can be helpful:

Facebook doesn't load but an attachment start to download during loading

Try loading with a different browser.

When such issue occurs it means that the server (or something in between) is not communicating with your computer properly. Or in a few words, instead of displaying web pages it downloads them on your computer. This is most likely a technical issue with your Internet Service Provider or with one of Facebook's servers. I bet my kidney it will be cleared out withing a few hours, but until then - use a different browser :)

Dont want fb to be home page

The easiest way to change this is navigate to the page you want to be your home page.

Once there you can set it to be your new home page by doing the following depending on your browser:

IE: Select "tools" menu -> internet options. Then in the "General" tab, click use current in the Home page form

Firefox: Select "edit" menu -> preferences. Then in the "General" tab, click use current pages (please note if you have more than one page open, they will all be your home pages and open in separate tabs).

Opera: Select "Tools" menu -> preferences. Then in the "General" Tab click use current.

Chrome: Click the wrench icon -> preferences. Click the checkbox next to "Open the following pages" and then click use current.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

I have accidentally resized my Yahoo Mail box causing the right side to widen leaving my messages not visable. I have clicked everywhere including the vertical cursor but it will not resize!! Help!!!

Unless the user wa familiar with the navigation tools of the pages or site, deriving an expericnes becomes tasking. Sometimes the computer simply encounters malfunctions least caused by the user. Also, computers on the network encounter or experince conditions least caused by the user. For example, whenever the computer or network encounters an unrecognised error, navigating through the pages or sites simply gets compromised momentarily. Power off the computer to alow repower to attain new configuration in the instance where every possible button least restores to regular functions as priorly observed.

Information being shown on my friends home pages.

Hello,

that can be changed by you.

Log into your account, by the top right corner of your page click account and scroll to account settings.

On the first page that appears, scroll to privacy and look by the right, you will see manage, click on manage.

On the page the appears, click personal information and post, then you can change the settings there, by reading what's on the page.

That's all. You can control your account from there.

Good luck.

To enable Java in my browser, I followed your instructions, only problem I had was that there was no ASP in the menue. Am I missing something here? Also, how do I make sympatico.ca my home page? That to...

To enable Java, assuming that it is installed: Open IE, click Tools, Internet Options and then Programs tab and Manage Add-ons. Find the Java add-on and ensure that it is enabled. Once enabled, you will have to restart your browser. To make a site your homepage, navigate to it and then click Tools, Internet Options and on the first page there is a Home Page box and under it click the button that says Use Current Page. Then OK out to the browser.

Virus in firefox browser

Check you "Home Page" under Tools | Options. Firefox allows you to set multiple home pages, separated by a pipe like this: |

So, you could have the following in the Home Page field:
http://www.google.com | http://www.ibm.com

Thereafter, whenever you open your home page, you'll get an extra window with the second URL opened. It sounds like you may have gotten some junk in there. In the case of my example above, you'd see Google open and a new tab with IBM.
