Vegas Movie Studio 9 says my 'trial' is over and I need to purchase or close the program. I DID purchase it and am looking at the box right now! I tried copying the reg from my other computer, doing a complete delete and re-install, even deleting the files from the reg. It still won't let me past the 'buy or close' window.

From the looks of it there's no Vista support yet. Pinnacle Systems needs to come out with somekind of patch soon. I've been looking for an hour as well. Couldn't find anything but people discussing the fact that they need the patch badly. On the Pinnacle site there's a link to software for Dazzle Video Creator 9 but it leads to an error page.

I guess you'll have to watch carefully when an update arrives.
Or try to find something of an automatic update feature in the software, maybe it'll find something.

You can try simpler programs such as Windows Movie Maker but I don't think it suits your needs when you want to edit stuff.

Another solution might be Sony Vegas.

Has that issue ALWAYS happened

You need to make sure you have the audio stream in the download, it will be on a seperate channel, look at the program, the audio and viideo are seperate, If you need help I will be around, hopefully someone who is helping you has used the software before, I have it on my machine, and it can be a little intimidating at first, just look for the seperate audio.
