could either be the speakers on the tv packing up and the only best way to fix this either take it into a shop to get repaired or just bin and get another one depends on how much it would cost to fix
You have a problem indeed. try lowering the tv volume . if the signal is too high on tv it can cause some problem with the sound system if that dosent work then you may have some electronic sound output resistor problem.
the prestige gold might be a little bit of overkill for this turntable meaning the turntable is middle of the road and the cartridge is hi-end.
To get a closer match for your TT try a yahoo search for "AT3482P-DE" (with the quotes) and the result will be the closest match to what this turntable is designed for. also you can find your TT's owner manual here http://www.vinylengine.com/library/technics/sl-bd22d.shtml but you will have to register to download the free manual. in that manual you will find the shape of the drawings for the cartridge is the same. both made by audio technica
Use an other HDMI cable. Still the problem persists, Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
