If you are using XP you need to right click on the my computer icon and then go to manage. Once the window opens up select device manager. This screen will show you all the devices on the computer. Check audio if you see once of the devices with a yellow question mark that means the computer can see your audio device but it does not know how to talk to it. In that case you will need to find the audio disk it came with and re-install the driver or you can go to the manafactures web site and find the driver for the audio device.
Good luck

JVC RX-558V no sound at all

First of all, check if there is any audio device connected to the receiver. If there is, check if the audio device is turned on and the volume is correctly set.If the receiver does not have any audio device connected, then you should connect the antenna and try again.

My computer has no sound driver after installing windows 7

If you have a sound icon(speaker symbol) in your toolbar, right click on it. Click on " playback devices", a window should come up. If nothing is in window then right click on it. See what you have. If nothing comes up, Right click on playback devices again and click on disconnected devices. If you have drivers show up when you click playback devices, right click on the one you want to use. See if there is an option to "enable". Click enable and see if this works. You can also check in Control Panel under sounds or, in device manager, under audio/playback devices.

Well if it a n on board audio device, first install the Mother board drivers. and the n you`ll have your audio device identified. after that u can install the audio drivers.

No audio for system, just media players????

Disable the onboard audio in the system bios and goto your local box store and buy a sound blaster pci audio card. The onboard sound or NIC is usually the first thing to fail, the only way to fix it is to disable it and replace with an audio card or replace the motherboard.

Hello

It may be the same problem that I had recently, where it said "No audio device installed", but everything looked fine in Device Manager. (If you don't know how to get there, you can look it up. It's not hard.) If that's the case, all you have to do is restart your computer (possibly a couple times).

If you're fairly certain you actually don't have an audio device installed, try a Google search for audio drivers. There are a ton of websites that can help you find and download the right one for your system. (Check the sponsored ads first!) Hope this helps!
