You are advised to not try to get into the electronics of the induction hob. Such is dangerous. The unit uses 3 phase electricity, something unlikely to be addressed by DIY activity if you want to be safe. Check your warranty. I assume this is not a matter of pans of the wrong material or size being deployed. This well may require a technician to sort out. The brand/model has not been identified so I cannot direct you to further resources. Your user manual surely provides a company name where you might seek some customer support.

Try - set all hotplates to setting 2. Switch off jot plates one after another starting with front right in clockwise direction, touch main switch for at least 5 seconds & a signal will sound - this activates & de-activates the child lock - or so the instructions say...
To use the hob with the child lock on - it says to press the main switch for more than 4 seconds & that lets you use it.
i find your problem is short of desame line that why it remained lighting, try to hang the connection to that light, try to find it one by one , the principle of the lighting here is like in the rice cooker when warm the light is yellow when cook it turn to red when you going to see it ,it is one connection only.there is a thermal plate ,when it sense extreme heat it will move that to switch off ,,then when it warm its switch on. maybe there is short to thermal plate or the thermal plate not working even extreme heat it will not shrink...try to find this plate .if my solution help you to understand the problem please rate me FIXYA... thank you in advance Stevecarr.....
I have a Stoves 900 CTH with the same problem. Its been like it for about 6 months and we're still able to get it going eventually.
If you turn the power on at the mains and leave it beeping for about 2 hrs then press the power on touch button. You should see all the "0."s flashing. When the flashing and beeping goes slow try pressing one of the hob buttons alot until the little dot illuminates next to the 0 then quickly lit the + button.
It sometimes works after 5 mins but other times it takes 20-30mins and is a real pain in the ****.
I did ring Stoves a while back and they quoted me £190 for the pcb but I hardly use it so just lived with it as it is but I finally had enough tonight and done a web search which turned up this thread.
I've just pulled it to bits to see if I could locate this "C17" but not 100% sure what I'm looking for.
Is it the big silver thing in the center with 5B RVJ on it?
