Yes the length of piping could have an effect on the amount of time it takes to dry your clothes, this can happen if your vents are clogged or has multiple curves in it. due to poor air flow circulation. I recommend flexible aluminum duct it is very hard to clog this and will never cause fires or leaking air issues. part number for an 8ft length is BTD48. If you need 25ft the part number is TD425. Hope this helps

Thanks

if there's heat in the dryer and yours is electric the most likely cause for dryer taking to long to dry is a blocked vent line, start the dryer ,go outside and check the outside hood where it blows out, make sure there isn't anything blocking it or a cage on it that's filled with lint, also every dryer should be opened up and cleaned, the easiest way is to get a shop vac, remove the front of dryer, vac up as much lint as you can see and then set the vac up to blow and blow the lint forwards so you don't have to remove the drum, then if the vent line is a long run i use a leaf blower, remove the vent line from the back of the dryer ,stick the leaf blower into the opening of the vent line and blow it out to the outside, hit it with short bursts at first so you don't damage the vent line if it isn't hard pipe, you will see a huge difference in the drying time.

My dryer does not heat. Clothes do not dry.

Pull the dryer out away from the wall. Unhook the vent from the dryer completely. Do not put anything over the dryer exhaust on the back of the dryer. Do a normal load with the vent unhooked. If it dries better or ok like this then the problem is in the dryer venting. Like a blocked vent pipe or a smashed or restricted vent hose. If the vent doesn't make a difference, then check the blower wheel for excessive lint build up, check that there isn't anything stuck to the air intake baffle inside the drum, (i.e. the screen on the back wall of the dryer when looking into the drum). Check the lint filter chute for blockage. Check that the heating element isn't shorted to ground. Check the exhaust temperature of the dryer. A meat or pocket thermometer can be used for this. It should cycle approx between 120 degrees and 160 degrees ( without clothes ). Check that the drum seals are not worn out.

Hello,

If this is a vented dryer then check all the filters in the machine also check the vent hose is not blocked on the machine in the hose itself and where the pipe goes out of the wall.If it is a condenser dryer the filters need checking and the condenser box in the base of the machine. If none of this is successful then it could be a fault with the heater or the programmer.

Hope this helped.

Takes 3 cycles to dry clothes even on towel cycle

If the clothes are hot when they come out but moist or damp it mean the moisture is not getting vented, Check your vent pipe for blockages or leaks.

DISCONNECT THE EXHAUST FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER. RUN ONE LOAD OF LAUNDRY. IF THE LOAD DRIES O.K., THE EXHAUST DUCT IS RESTRICTED. CLEAN OUT THE DUCT WORK. IF IT IS FLEXIBLE MATERIAL, REPLACE WITH RIGID METAL DUCT WORK.

Needs 2 drying cycles

I am assuming you are cleaning the lint filter. Check the vent pipe out the back. If it vents into the wall, the piping leading to outside may be plugged. Your washer is spinning the clothes good, right? If the clothes are excessively wet they will take longer to dry also. If its practical, remove the vent hose and let it dry blowing into the room. It may suck but just once for a test.
