You only have 5v standby voltage circuit working. The problem can be i nte main power supply or the main control board that send the signal to the main power supply to turn on. Those are the two place to look for.

Why a 19' Insignia TV wont turn on?

Verify you have power at the outlet, and the TV plug. If no power check breaker. If it was moved recently to anoither location the wall outlet may be on a switched circuit, or downstream of a GFCI outlet.

My Olevia 27in. LCD Television does not turn on

Well, at least the standby 5vdc circuit is still working but the problem can be in the controller board is not sending the signal to turn on the main power supply sections, or the power supply itself is bad. Look at the power supply first for burnt parts, bad capacitors.

Red lite comes on but tv will not power up.

Follow the solution for service port 'jump start' with a usb plug. Plug your cell phone charger in next to the TV. Touch the metal prongs of the service port with the metal part of the usb until you get a brief 'flash' on the TV. Then turn on the tv set. It takes patience and a flash light to do this, so you can see what your touching, as my husband couldn't get it to work, but I could.

I cant get the tv to come on it has power

You have a bad power supply (AC adapter). Watch closely at the red light while turning tv on to see if red light momentarily flashes green, then back to red.

Olevia 747 won't come on

I had the same problem with a 437. It just shut off one day and I could never turn it back on again. I called Syntax Brillian and they told me the mother board was probably shot. They sent me a new TV and took the damaged one back.

Help

The power cord easily falls out on my model, try twisting the power cord where it plugs into the TV until the red light comes on in the front.

Power on/No picture

On December 19, 2007,I had the same problem on my 42" plasma,. he light blinked twice and there was no picture.  My tv was just six months old and lucklily it was still under warranty.  To my surprise, a panasonic technician came out the next day, literally 17 hours after I made the initial call. Turns out its a fairly common problem and relates to the failure of a circuit board.  Had I been out of warranty, the cost would have been over $500, or just under 50% of the purchase price.  While I am very disappointed by such a severe problem so early in the TV's life, can't say enough good things about their service.  I had a whirlpool  dishwasher fail over the summer and it took two weeks to get a service appointment and another 6 to fix it properly.
