I have the same problem just bought the thing yesterday and it won't charge I downloaded music yesterday and charged it, now it isn't recognized by the computer.

Went thru the whole troubleshooting chart and nothing happened, I did email techsupport but haven't heard anything. I guess I'll take the thing back and get it replaced.

My coby mp3 player wont let put music on it!

Go to the coby site and download the coby media manager the one on the player is corrupt (http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=fix_mp822). Once you get that installed on you PC go to Device and expand the device (should have a drive letter with a plus sign click on the plus sign) and you will see that your music is actually in a folder titled "music". Move it all to the folder titled "audio", don't ask I don't get it. You should now be able to use the touch screen and click on the music icon and see all your music.

Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds IF THIS DOES NOT WORK TRY THIS: Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Coby's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Need some more information.
Did the computer ever recognize the MP3?
What program are you using to tranfer music(Windows Player, Yahoo Music.....)?
When you connect the MP3 player do you see it if you go into your computer hard drive screen?

My Coby Mp3 model MP-C7095(2GB) turns on but it doesn't enter in the mainmenu. It only Shows "Coby" and then it gets stuck it won't even turnoff. I've tried connecting it to my computer and when I do...

You may want to call Coby's cust svc, since the documentation on the website is a little spotty - Customer Care: 1.800.727.3592
If you have the user manual, check and see if there is a "reset" method - this will turn your player off when it freezes.

Then, hold in the volume + button while the player is off, and connect it to your computer - after continuing to hold the volume + button for several seconds, a Windows XP enabled computer will load the missing drivers. It should pop up a window that says "Found New Hardware wizard: Recovery Mode"

Finally, you can try reformatting the player in windows Media Player. connect the device to the computer, and bring up the drop-down menu underneath the Sync tab - select your player, and select "Format player"

You will most likely need to get a firmware upgrade from Coby's website www.cobyusa.com, although I had a difficult time finding your exact model number - their cust svc may be able to direct you to the right place.

Hey my mp4 player the (thick one) that playes AVI and MPEG-4 videos only wont recongize my new 4GB SD-Card but would recongize my 2GB SD-Card everytime i try put it it freezes and wont move i reset it...

I can help! The mp3 player's are only built by standard specifications and they are only built to work with 2gb sd cards at the max. so i suggest using the 2gb sd card or buying an mp3 with more memory space.

Your batteries may be dead, the coil that it (the battery) attaches to sometimes gets bent out of the way, so try turning that back.
