on the side of the card there is a little black peg stickin out slide it to unlock then format it when you dont want anyone to erase whats on it you lock it, then snap it off in the meantime slide the little black lock on the side of the sd card to unlock try thst
I don't have your camera, and don't know what kind of memory card you have, but many memory cards have a "lock" switch right on the card, easy to flick by accident.
I'm not sure about your particular instance, but this can happen if you change up cameras or use a card reader.
As for being unable read the memory card, sometimes the card can be switched off by accident. Turn off the camera and remove the card. Look at the side of the card and there will be a little switch. One end says locked (or shows a little picture of a locked lock) and the other end says unlocked (or, shows a little picture of an unlocked lock). Just move the switch to unlocked.
Try that, and let me know with a comment if that doesn't work, othewise, thanks for coming to FixYa!
Remove the card from the camera. There is a small slide tab on the card which shows a picture of a lock. Move the slide tab to the unlock position. If this doesn't fix it, replace the card.
The SETUP menus should allow you to unlock the card. Alternatively, re-formatting will clear the card and start anew, or you can put a new card in (they are cheap)
Daisyramon, Have you checked the lock tab on your digital card that stors the pictures? You may have inaverdentally pushed the slide lock by accident to the protected side. If you did just push it back to the oposite side of the card. Hope this helps you. I always pull my card from the camera and insert it in the USB port on the front of my computer and open my pictures there and also transfer any to the card from the computer.
