Watching dvd hello, I have DVD recorder LG DR-275. the problem is that I just can;t watch all the movies in my DVD. In my computer i can watch them but the dvd player doesn't recognize them as divx files. what can i do? haya

The lazer drive for this model (DR275) LG Recorder has been discontinued unfortunately.

You can read what JVC is telling about the recorder. It is not an digital tuner, but still you can record a DVD and watch another channel or vice versa.

You can not view from the USB, since the USB port on the DVD player is ver 1.1. The transfer speed is to slow to watch a movie. Alternatively you can copy your movie from your flashdrive to the harddrive and watch from there. You will see what I mean with slow speed when you copy the movie. It takes ages.

AVI are a certain type of movie file.
Your problem is most likely that you do not, have the correct software ( program ) installed on your computer to view these files, yet i believe do play on a normal DVD Player.
you could try Windows Media player, this may work for you. also power DVD or Similar. although there are newer programs out there. as for the conversion, this is a long winded process in itself. To convert AVI To MPEG ( standard DVD Format ) you need unpacking tools and software, And a relatively high spec PC, Lots Of Memory.
