Can you tell me what the problem. When you it off the charger it wont work.
Plug it in to computer, then turn player on. It has to be turned on to charge for some reason.
The power switch is fragile - if you break it then you cannot turn on the player. plugging in the charger will turn it on but only while the is power coming from the charger.
When it off the charger and i try turn it on it wouldnt work and when i put it on the charger the power will go on. then i take it off the charger the power will go off and i try reseting it and it still wont work
Contact Coby. See what they suggest and if it can't be fixed, see if they can send you a replacement.
Maybe you should see if you need a new battery.

That happened to me to. It means when you were charging it on your computer you just unplugged it. What you should have done is click "safly remove hardware" on the bottom right screen appearing when there is another system plugged into the computer. it wont work anymore now on that computer. next time you get a computer it will work but before unplugging it press "safly remove hardware".

I have the same problem. It has yet to be used since it only works when on the charger, and that is not all of the time. Not a very good gift for my 12 year old son for Christmas. I am very disappointed.

I hae no idea why it won`t charge.
My Coby MP-305 is three days old and has yet to work right. It no longer is recognized by the computer and is frozen in 1/2 on position- just backlit with "COBY". won't turn off or play or....anything
