It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your new Eclipse MP3 player. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Make sure that the battery is fully charged. If the battery is not fully charged, the MP3 player may not have enough power to stay on for an extended period of time.
Check the charging cable and make sure that it is securely plugged into the MP3 player and the charger.
Check the charging port on the MP3 player for any damage or debris that may be preventing a secure connection.
Try a different charging cable or charger to see if the issue is with the charging equipment.
If the issue persists, you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to ask.
Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player.
Computer in Hibernation mode Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player.
USB Port 2.0 Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).
USB Port location Try plugging into different USB ports (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); occasionally the front USB ports have limited power to charge up the device.
Battery Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.
Latest firmware Depending on what Sansa player you have, make sure it's up to date with the latest Firmware.
AC charger (optional) AC chargers (sold separately) have a 500-1000 milliamp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port. These accessories are available at SanDisk web site.
hi, i got this for christmas and you need to make it go dead and FULLY charge it or the battery weakens, also have you tried to turn it off by holding the middle button for 10 seconds? and when putting songs on it even after it sais it is complete on the computer screen still keep it on the charger connected to the computer for a while, that same thing happened to me but when i tried again and let it charge my song was on there.

Sandisk is a brand that is best used with its own. There are two degrees of separation here. 1) It is a cell phone charger 2) The charger is not in its family.
With both things working against the machine, it is not a surprise it will not fully charge.
