I have a mac and the printer I have is a psc 950 it won't print color only black and white. Have had it for 4 years never had this problem.
Sounds like the print head on the color side is ether plugged on its plunger or the print head failed totally the real way to do any testing is get yourself a printer cleaning kit and follow the direction on that if that does not shore it up replace the plunger and or printhead around $45-50 bucks respectivly.

Oh well if you print a test page from the printer and it worked You did not say that in the very begining witch make me out to be a farse!!
So here goes another solution for you on your mac the program your printing from make sure the color is selected if that is not the issue its with the driver or seomthing got fouled up and if that is the case do this go to the time machine on your task bar there and roll back your OS to where it was working fine you might have a fouled driver.
I do appreciate FACTS and the WHOLE story before you decide to rate me like you did if you where to have told me that a test print worked I would have ruled out another issue,
