Ge profile side by side sweating on frig wall next to freezer

Your fridge may have an optional energy saver switch set to on. This turns on & off the heater strips along doors and other key locations.

When set to ON (or the Energy Saving position), energy savings is realized as it powers down the heaters that are designed to evaporate the condensation that can naturally form there - especially in warmer / humid weather conditions.

Slide the switch to OFF to to disable energy savings and have to pay for additional power to operate these heaters. You may find that you need only select this position at certain times of the year. Experiment to see if you can enjoy savings during the other times of the year.

Toshiba tv automatic on off

Depends on the model. Some models have energy saving feature

The unique energy saving feature is called 'Automatic Power Down'. This means the television will self-switch into stand-by if no television remote control commands are received within 4 hours. This feature is an energy saving solution for situations where the television may be left unattended for extended periods and has been enabled as the default setting.

You will see an on screen warning prior to the automatic shut down. Automatic shut down will be averted by depressing any key on the television remote control.

Use of automatic power down functions will be progressively introduced to future models in an effort to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases.

If you would like to disable this feature you may follow the instructions below (depends on TV Model)

1. Press theMENUkey on the remote control.

2. Press theright arrow keyand highlightSETUP.

3. Press thedown arrow keyand highlightAutomatic Power Down.

4. Press theright arrow keyto change setting toOFF.

5. Press theEXITkey on the remote control.

Some models "auto shutsdown" if it doesn't detect any signal from the TV for around 15mins. Please search for this setting in the user's manual.

I hope it helps!

Window ac unit shuts off when outside temp is lower then inside temp, doesn't help to turn down ' it still will turn off' its insulated all around very good and its new

It might have a "Green Feature", for lack of a better word. Does the unit still run the fan at all?

If the fan still runs without the compressor, then it is cooling in what they call economizer mode, basically uses the outside air to cool and save on energy.

That is my educated guess.

If you have a user manual for it, look to see if there is a energy saving feature to it.

brightness level is lower than normal.

HIGH-power saving level is high and the backlight

brightness is set to the lowest level.

Poor picture

Dynamic mode will give you a brighter picture. The energy saving mode runs the lamp at a more efficient level that saves energy at the cost of a slightly darker picture. Based upon your description, I'd guess that the lamp is nearing the end of its useful life. Plan on changing the lamp soon. When you do so, place the set back to standard mode and energy saving.
