Keeps crashing before it gets completely on

Yes, I use them for a year, and then they sell them.

Is there a problem?

OH, C'MON I'M JUST KIDDING!

1) Is the computer dirty inside?

The two major issues with desktop computer failure, is the computer is dirty inside; and Power Supply failure.

Post back in a Comment. We'll start here.

El1210-09 won't shutdown

Step 1:
Most people who own an eMachine computer will find that they will need to reset the computer at some point. It is a fact that PCs are more prone to viruses and malware than Macintosh computers. Sometimes the only way to restore an eMachine is to simply reset it. Fortunately, it is not a difficult process to reset an eMachine computer.

Turn off the computer. If the computer is in a state that it can be properly shut down, follow the normal shutdown process. On the other hand, if the computer is not reacting to anything, simply pull the cord from the wall. Restart the computer. Plug the computer back into the wall and press the Power button. Wait for the eMachine to reach the screen that reads "Press F11 to start recovery." Once this screen appears, press the F11 key on the keyboard multiple times to make sure that it registers. If the recovery screen does not come up, you will need to turn the computer off and back on again and attempt to press the F11 button again when the prompt appears. Select the proper option. After the recovery screen appears, there will be a list of recovery options. Scroll to the option that says "Full System Restore (with Backup)." Choosing this option will copy all of the contents of the hard disk to the c:\\My Backup directory. This will ensure that important files that have been created on the computer will not be deleted. However, the applications on the computer will need to be reinstalled. Allow the system restore to run its course. Depending on the age and effectiveness of the eMachine computer, it is possible this process could take up to 45 minutes. When the system restore is complete, the computer will restart itself. Reinstall applications. Any of the files created on the computer should be saved. However, the applications that created them need to be reinstalled.

My hp desktop computer will not turn on

If you cant see or heard any boot up sounds, fans and especially if you dont see any power or green led lights at all ;

If your power cord is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, power cycle your strip or surge protector by turning off and on.

If power outlet has a wall switch make sure its on

Check that your power cable is securely plug in to both ends

Check that at the back of computer, specifically on the back of the power supply unit that the switch is on "1" position and NOT on the "0" position ( 1 is "ON" , 0 is "OFF" )

Check that the power outlet is not damaged by pluging in another good known device (such as a blowdryer, shaver, lamp, radio, etc, etc) to see if its the power outlet or not.

Can you see power or green led lights and hear the fan on but no display ? If this is the case , check your monitor connection at both ends. If they are secured open up your case and see if you can smell any burnt smell or check that all cards especially video cards are properly seated.

Emachine shut down

No, it's just the USB ports that are still being powered.
Totally normal in most new computers. Same thing with the PS2 ports.
There are jumpers on the motherboard that can change this if you really want. It's designed like that to keep things like you have powered for when you do turn it on and need them.
