I need to clean, so I am told, the photoelectric eye on my 60K BTU Reddy Heater. How do i do this?? Thank you....Dennis [email protected]

I have a reddy 55......it comes on for about a minute then shuts off....it had a thermostat but that has been bypassed.

there is a cad cell that see's a flame or operates the shut down circuit. Try cleaning the cad cell.

I have a propane 155,000 btu forced air heater. when it runs the air burns my eyes

Your mixture is too rich. Go to http://www.reddyparts.com which has assistance with setting the fuel balance or get a new control valve from them.

REDDY HEATER 40,000 BTU KEROSENE&DIESEL

Clean your nozzel, check your fuel & air lines, you may need to replace Spark plug and filters. You can go to the manufacturers website at www.desatech.com and they offer service manuals. I hope this helps you!

My reddy heater will run for a little bit then "flame out' with the light by the "flame" button blinking.

Clean the lens of the photocell - electric eye- Check pump pressure on back of motor at pipe plug

My heater fires up after 5 seconds and then dies out.

Locate and clean lens on fire eye. If heater will run with fire eye wires connected with a jumper then replace eye.

Reddy Heater won't stay lit

You dont need a tune up kit! If you replace the units thermostat and the unit will work like new again (this is why it keeps shutting off) This is a very common problem with this model.
