wile red button is pushed no flame or turns off when the button is released the flame dies ? if no flame tank is too small or spark isn't in far enough to catch gas . if flame is present with button down then the over heat switch on the in line thermal coupler could b bad u can check the over heat switch with a jumper between the two wires and if it stays lit you got it if it goes out then its the thermal coupler that's bad
The nozzle could be worn to a point where a spray is being produced rather than a fog. By removing the top lid you are changing the aerodynamics and the safety system likes the color of the flame (falsely). Replace the nozzle. Follow this link.
this have a flame controler, if the flame didn't goes on in few seconds the unit automatically stops. back plug and start again, if not star after tree times check the flame control thermocuple, or get the unit in service to fix it.
Try a little longer, sometimes it takes a full minute to heat the thermocouple. Check and make sure thermocouple is in flame. If all this is ok. then your going to have to change the valve.
I had the same problem with a 110. It was the plactic cover over the filter it had cracks in it and would not push out enough fuel for it to run with the cover on. It would just blow out the flame. I replaced the cover with the adjustment screws on it and filters and runs like a champ.
