Heater does not fire or run while top cover is on. take it off it runs perfect try to put the cover on while running it shuts off.

The air pump pressure could be off a little causing incorrect fuel delivery. Follow this link for instructions.

OR

The nozzle could be worn to a point where a spray is being produced rather than a fog. By removing the top lid you are changing the aerodynamics and the safety system likes the color of the flame (falsely). Replace the nozzle. Follow this link.

Reddy propane heater RLP100

Try a little longer, sometimes it takes a full minute to heat the thermocouple. Check and make sure thermocouple is in flame. If all this is ok. then your going to have to change the valve.

R165at reddy heater

I had the same problem with a 110. It was the plactic cover over the filter it had cracks in it and would not push out enough fuel for it to run with the cover on. It would just blow out the flame. I replaced the cover with the adjustment screws on it and filters and runs like a champ.
