I had the same problem with my machine, there is nothing you personally can do to fix it. You'll have to find a service tech who can work on it to solve the problem.

What does message mean? *** EvError SeverityError FacilityAnsMCU_MotorCurrent ErrorCurrentTooHigh 'main motor current was to high'.

The machine is binding and the extra power needed to turn the mechanics caused the motor to strain. The machine needs cleaning lubricating and timing.

How to get brother pr600 out of main motor test mode?

Looks like the machine is bound up, or the motor is failing. If the hand wheel is easy to turn then it is probably the motor drawing too much current.
Brother recommends a new motor and belt every 1500 hours of run time.

Main motor rotate error

You will get that error message when the machine is seizing somewhere, continue to use it and the repair will be very expensive.

It needs to be brought in for service.

Husqvarna viking diamond deluxe embroidery machine main motor overload

I'm not familiar with the Diamond machine but suggest the following. The motor is overheating. Is the sewing machine cord plugged directly into an outlet or are you using extension cords? Voltage drop due to long or light duty cords can cause the motor to run hot.
Can you trun the handwheel freely? If not, there is friction or binding in the machine that needs to be corrected. The blank screen and reboot are simply protection devices like a circuit breaker in your home electrical circuits. Find the source of the problem!

Error Message This embroidery card cannot be used with this machine

Is it a pre-loaded card - or one you add patterns to?
If its one you add patterns to, make sure the pattern isn't too large for the machine. EG if machine does 4"x4" and you've loaded a 5"x7" pattern, try down-sizing the pattern/ breaking it up into smaller sections to load & sew

Main motor failed--check hook system

I assume this is a message you've got on your machine - you dont state which model it is, but there are only a few Berninas that do this and I'd guess its one of the new 820/830 or 530/550/580 range ??? The message is telling you that there's been a jam-up of the mechanics and the main motor has been overloaded - it will have turned itself off, so isn't, hopefully, a fatal message. You need to check the hook/shuttle area ... where the bobbin case is fitted - is the bobbin case properly in place ... indeed, did you forget to put one in !!! Check if there is a big pileup of thread around the hook/shuttle - take out the stitch plate and check underneath for blockages. One prime candidate is sewing pins that can get dragged under the foot and in through the stitch-plate - have a thorough look around and make sure that you can turn the handwheel freely, but DO NOT force it if there's a jam-up - you could damage something. Get back to me with more details of which machine it is and what you were doing, if you cant resolve this yourself.

I've just bought one. Is it normal that the hand wheel is hard to turn. Does not that put stress on its motor?

hi, if you just bought this machine, my suggestion is to take it back & get another one.
the handwheel is not suppose to be hard to turn when it's brand new.. I've been sewing for over 30 years & I wouldn't keep the machine, I'd take it back & get another that works properly.

My footup and footdown button is stuck and I keep getting an E1 error on the screen. Do I need to take it in for repair or is there something I can do to fix it? Machine will not sew because of the error...

Turn the machine off first and unplug.

If you've got a manual, look up the page for trouble shooting, this error message may be listed iwth a solution. I'd also suggest that you remove and clean out the bobbin holder. This is the little black piece you put the bobbin into. It has possibly dislodged if you've had a jam up. You will need to unscrew the two screws holding the needle plate down, take out the needle and pressure foot to give yourself some room too. Put the bobbin holder back into position lining up the red markings on the holder and the stopper, your manual should show images of this.

Once its all back together, turn on and hopefully it will reset to normal mode.
If you've done all this and the error message won't stop showing, then yes, you'll need to take it in for a service.

Acquired a used Kenmore 158.1792 model sewing machine and when I sew, the thread on the underside is all knotted up and in excessive amounts! How do I keep that from happening? Thank you!

Sounds like a tension problem. Do you have a manual ?? If not, they're available online for $5 to $10 as a PDF problem. You'll want to check the top tension, and the lower bobbin assembly.

[ I've got one of these machines, and used it for many years, although sadly it now has a burnt-out motor, and the motors are difficult/impossible to find ]
